Founder & CEO of Pathways Africa
Joe is the Founder and CEO of Pathways Africa, a leadership development academy in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is one of Zimbabwe`s leading Executive Coaches, specializing in coaching and development of senior executives including CEOs and board members.
Prior to his current focus Joe spent 32 years in various positions in the Zimbabwe corporate sector, and was previously the CEO of Delta Corporation, one of Zimbabwe`s largest listed companies for ten years.
Joe is a certified coach, trained in Consulting and Coaching for Change at Oxford University`s Said Business School. He has a Master of Science degree in executive coaching from HEC Paris, France`s top business school. Joe holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe and a Bachelor of Science degree from the London School of Economics. He has completed executive training programs at the London Business School, Sundridge Park (UK), Harvard Law School and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town.
Joe currently chairs the boards of the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe, the board of the Zimbabwe Sugar Refineries, and the board of Mangwana Capital, one of Zimbabwe`s leading private equity firms. He previously served on the board of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
Joe is a prolific writer on the subject of leadership and has authored seven books on leadership including, ‘Leading for the Future’, ‘The CEO’s Role in Corporate Transformation’ and ‘Leading without Command’. He is married to Mukai and lives in Harare. They are blessed with 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
